Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their innovative technology division in Birmingham . You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that drive significant business value across various platforms. This position involves working closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to build robust, scalable ML solutions that enhance user experience and optimize operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy production-ready machine learning models using large datasets.
• Implement and optimize ML algorithms for predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and recommendation systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability and quality of data for ML pipelines.
• Design and build scalable ML infrastructure and deployment pipelines (MLOps).
• Evaluate model performance, conduct A/B testing, and iterate on solutions for continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in machine learning engineering.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with an ML focus.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
