About the Role

Our client, a leading creative agency in Portsmouth , is seeking a talented and versatile Senior Make-up Artist to join their team. This role involves creating stunning makeup looks for a variety of clients, including editorial photoshoots, commercial campaigns, bridal events, and fashion shows. You will be expected to lead makeup teams, collaborate with photographers and stylists, and maintain the highest professional standards. This is a dynamic position for an artist passionate about transforming faces and contributing to visually compelling projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute diverse makeup looks according to project briefs and client requirements.
• Lead and manage junior makeup artists on set or at events, ensuring cohesive artistic vision.
• Collaborate effectively with photographers, stylists, directors, and clients to achieve desired aesthetics.
• Maintain a clean and organized kit, ensuring all products and tools are sanitary and well-stocked.
• Stay updated on the latest makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations.
• Provide exceptional client service, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout the makeup application process.

Requirements

• Professional qualification or extensive experience in Make-up Artistry .
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional makeup artist role, with a diverse portfolio.
• Proven ability to work across different styles, from natural beauty to high fashion and special effects.
• Strong understanding of colour theory, facial anatomy, and skin types.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
