About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Makeup Artist & Stylist to join their dynamic team in Portsmouth . This role involves providing exceptional makeup and styling services for a variety of clients, including photoshoots, special events, and personal consultations. You will be responsible for leading creative direction on projects, mentoring junior artists, and ensuring the highest standards of client satisfaction and artistic execution. Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional makeup application for diverse clients and occasions, including bridal, editorial, and event makeup.
• Provide personalized styling advice, including hair suggestions and wardrobe coordination to complement makeup looks.
• Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and clients to achieve desired artistic visions for photoshoots and events.
• Lead creative conceptualization for makeup and styling projects, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
• Maintain a clean and organised kit, ensuring all products and tools are sanitised and well-stocked.
• Mentor and guide junior makeup artists, sharing techniques and best practices for professional development.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a professional Makeup Artist, with a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility.
• Proficiency in a wide range of makeup techniques, including contouring, airbrushing, and special effects makeup.
• Experience in hair styling for various occasions is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and execute client briefs effectively.
• Strong understanding of colour theory, skin tones, and facial feature enhancement.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel to various locations for assignments in and around Portsmouth .
