About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior Management Accountant to join their fully remote finance team, supporting operations historically based in Sunderland . This senior position will play a critical role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing vital strategic insights to guide business decisions. You will be responsible for complex financial modeling, driving performance improvement initiatives, and leading key financial projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive management reports, board packs, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and data integrity.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team in remote collaboration.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business partnering, and strategic financial management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel , financial modeling, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive change within a finance function.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, adept at remote collaboration.
