About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in London . This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, providing critical insights, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of management accounts. You will work closely with department heads to understand business performance, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders, contributing to a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Provide detailed variance analysis, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions to senior management.
- Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage and mentor junior members of the finance team, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with auditors and support external financial reviews.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong track record in management accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a corporate finance environment.
- Proficiency in financial modelling , advanced Excel skills, and experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and present findings clearly and concisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
