Senior Management Consultant - Public Sector

About the Role

Our client is a highly respected consultancy specialising in public sector transformation and is seeking a dedicated Senior Management Consultant to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in helping government bodies and public service organisations improve efficiency, effectiveness, and citizen outcomes. You will lead projects focused on service redesign, digital adoption, organisational restructuring, and policy implementation, working collaboratively with public sector leaders to address some of the most pressing societal challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Lead consultancy projects focused on public sector transformation, service improvement, and digital enablement.
• Analyse complex public sector challenges, identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engage with senior public officials to build consensus and drive change.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of client objectives.
• Develop proposals and support business development activities within the public sector market.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, with a significant focus on the public sector.
• Strong understanding of public sector organisations, their operating models, and policy environments.
• Demonstrated experience in areas such as service redesign, digital strategy, organisational change, or performance improvement within government or public services.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Proven ability to manage projects and build relationships with public sector stakeholders at various levels.
• Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business, or a related field.
