Senior Manager – Enterprise Tooling & Automation

Job Description
- Lead the Enterprise Tooling & Automation function for the head of Enterprise Digital Operations
- Define and evolve the future-state enterprise tooling ecosystem
- Develop and execute a comprehensive tooling strategy aligned with Agile DevSecOps outcomes
- Bring together software and tools used across the business, covering the full SDLC and AI tooling
- Consolidate the current tooling ecosystem and reduce duplication across business areas
- Support NESO’s AI Ops ambitions by bringing platforms and tooling together
- Manage vendor interactions, including licensing, commercial approvals, implementation timelines and support models
- Implement the tooling strategy across the organisation and influence adoption of change and digitalisation
- Own certificate and license management and ensure timely responses to expiry dates
- Manage and lead the existing team
- Performance-manage, lead, coach and develop managers in the team
- Support effective delivery, career growth and capability development
- Make strategic tooling decisions and engage senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Extensive experience in enterprise tooling, ideally with some focus surrounding transformation
- Knowledge of tooling integration and activation points within E2E DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines
- Ability to make strategic decisions around tooling cross-functionally based on fit for purpose, strategy and adherence to requirements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale tooling implementations across complex organisations
- Experience managing managers and leading teams across onshore and offshore locations
- Stakeholder management skills, including with senior leadership
- Experience collaborating across engineering, finance, architecture, procurement and transformation teams
- Deep understanding and prior demonstrable ownership of vendor-based tooling processes such as licensing and procurement
- Demonstratable knowledge of both Waterfall and DevSecOps agile delivery models
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar field, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated experience of working with technology leadership teams
- Right to work in the UK by the start of employment
- Willingness to attend the base location as required by business needs and travel to other NESO office locations
