Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to their operations in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and systems to meet production targets.
• Lead projects focused on improving product quality, reducing manufacturing costs, and increasing efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Design and procure new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the automotive or aerospace sector.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with CNC programming is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to technical challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.
