Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead key process development and improvement initiatives within their facility in Edinburgh . This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and output. You will mentor junior engineers, drive technological adoption, and ensure adherence to the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Optimize existing manufacturing lines for improved throughput, reduced costs, and enhanced product quality.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and technologies.
• Develop and manage project plans for process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely completion.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and R&D to ensure compliance and continuous product improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering .
• Extensive experience with lean manufacturing , Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing automation, robotics, and associated technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
