Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to their advanced manufacturing facility in Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role is pivotal in driving improvements across our manufacturing processes, focusing on enhancing productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency through innovative engineering solutions. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and optimization of production systems, working in a hybrid capacity that allows for both detailed on-site analysis and focused remote strategic planning. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Optimize existing production lines for improved throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering , or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process development.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
