About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across various production lines. This role is crucial for driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies from a remote capacity, contributing significantly to the company's strategic goals and operational excellence through virtual collaboration and remote oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement using data-driven methodologies.
- Design and implement new manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and deploy advanced process control strategies and automation solutions remotely.
- Collaborate closely with virtual cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless process integration.
- Conduct remote process capability studies and validation activities to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on process engineering best practices through virtual channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing process engineering , with a proven track record of successful process improvements.
- Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD/CAM tools for design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies , robotics, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to lead projects effectively from a distance.
