Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Automation

Our client is actively recruiting a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in Automation for a fully remote position. You will be responsible for the entire design lifecycle, from concept generation and detailed engineering to simulation and validation, ensuring robust and reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex automated machinery and systems using advanced 3D CAD software.
• Perform detailed stress analysis , kinematic analysis, and system simulations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with controls engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systems.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including P&IDs, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and commissioning of automated equipment.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction in automated solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on automation and machinery design.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong understanding of robotics , motion control, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Experience with DFM/DFA principles applied to automated systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, suited for remote collaboration.
