About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to join their forward-thinking team in Edinburgh . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Perform detailed calculations for load estimation, airflow, and system performance using specialized software.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and clients to integrate HVAC designs seamlessly.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, energy standards (e.g., CIBSE), and client requirements.
• Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in HVAC design and mechanical systems engineering.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, IES VE).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics.
• Experience with energy modeling and sustainable design principles.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
