About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their globally distributed team, operating on a fully remote basis, with primary coordination expected from Belfast , Northern Ireland. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems, utilizing advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues encountered during prototyping and production phases.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting .
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
