About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to their cutting-edge projects, with the flexibility of a remote working arrangement, supporting teams near Liverpool . This pivotal role involves leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems, from conceptualization through to final production. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of intricate mechanical components and systems, utilizing advanced CAD software and best practices.
• Perform rigorous FEA and CFD analysis to optimize designs for performance, durability, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate closely with remote cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing experts.
• Oversee prototype development and testing, providing expert guidance for troubleshooting and design refinement.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Expertise in advanced 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks Premium, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Proven experience in leading design projects and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing techniques, and thermodynamics .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.
