Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their fully remote product development team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design of innovative mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and quality standards. This role requires a blend of creative design thinking and practical engineering knowledge, enabling you to translate complex requirements into tangible, well-engineered solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, model, and document mechanical parts and assemblies using advanced 3D CAD software .
• Perform kinematic and dynamic simulations, as well as stress analysis, to ensure design robustness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for production (DFM).
• Develop and execute test plans to validate mechanical designs and prototypes.
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and tools within the remote team structure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar) and FEA tools.
• Solid understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
