Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for new products, from initial concept through to production handover.
• Develop detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using advanced CAD software .
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analysis to ensure design robustness and performance.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to define system requirements.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation activities to confirm design integrity.
• Identify and implement design improvements for cost reduction, manufacturability, and performance enhancements.

Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and PDM systems.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining), and DFMA principles.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and hardware testing.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently and lead design efforts.
