Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - £50-£63k doe
I am searching for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a mission critical engineering team, delivering complex design solutions within a highly regulated industry.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the nuclear sector or a similarly regulated environment such as defence, aerospace, rail, or oil & gas. You will have a strong background in mechanical design, taking projects from concept through detailed design, with a thorough understanding of engineering standards, compliance, and safety-critical requirements.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical design within a highly regulated industry (nuclear preferred).
- Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, relevant codes, standards, and quality processes.
- Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation and design calculations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), with chartered status or working towards it desirable.This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that make a real impact in a safety-critical environment.
