About the Role

Our client is actively searching for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems and products. You will be responsible for guiding projects from initial concept through to successful implementation, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to rigorous standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mechanical design, a proven ability to innovate, and strong leadership qualities to mentor and guide engineering teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced mechanical systems and products.
• Perform complex engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis.
• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Expertise in advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and FEA tools.
• Deep understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and product development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and manage technical risks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
