Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their prestigious engineering department in Manchester . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical products and systems from concept through to production.
• Perform detailed computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize designs.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues encountered during prototyping and production phases.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for the Manchester region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on product development.
• Proficiency in advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor, and FEA software.
• Solid understanding of materials selection, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
