About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative engineering team, operating fully remotely. This position is critical for the design and development of advanced mechanical systems and components. You will be instrumental in translating complex requirements into robust, manufacturable designs, contributing to cutting-edge projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems from concept to production using advanced CAD tools.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and designers within the team.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in product design in this remote role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA ) tools.
• In-depth knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding), and GD&T .
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks concurrently in a remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
