Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and sub-assemblies for aerospace applications, adhering to strict industry standards.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, using advanced FEA tools .
- Create precise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation required for aerospace manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality assurance teams, and clients to ensure design feasibility and product integrity.
- Oversee prototype development, rigorous testing, and validation processes for critical aerospace components.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on complex design challenges.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related aerospace engineering discipline.
- Over 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a significant focus on aerospace components or systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and advanced FEA simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Proven ability to manage complex design projects from concept to production in a demanding sector.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills essential for effective collaboration in Norwich .
