About the Role
Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their engineering department in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This position involves the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment critical to their operations. You will provide expert technical input, manage engineering projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of mechanical assets. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and systems according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform stress analysis , thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations using FEA software.
- Oversee the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with procurement to select appropriate materials and vendors for mechanical components.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the longevity and reliability of mechanical equipment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team in Wolverhampton .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
