About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dedicated team in Brighton . This role involves leading complex mechanical design projects from conception through to production, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. You will be responsible for intricate design work, analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in Mechanical Engineering , a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD tools .
- Conduct comprehensive FEA and CFD simulations to validate designs and optimize performance.
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project management teams to ensure seamless product realization in Brighton .
- Perform root cause analysis on design failures and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices within the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
- Expertise in 3D modeling software (e.g., Catia, SolidWorks) and simulation packages.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- Proven ability to manage projects, solve complex technical problems, and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
