About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their innovative projects based in Bristol . This role offers the chance to apply extensive mechanical engineering expertise to the design, development, and testing of sophisticated systems. You will be an integral part of a highly skilled team, driving technical solutions and mentoring junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards.
Perform advanced engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to optimize designs and predict performance.
Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical, software, manufacturing) throughout the product development lifecycle.
Oversee and conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures for prototypes and production units.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering.
Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members.
