About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components, from concept to production.
- Perform advanced FEA analysis , stress calculations, and thermal simulations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure integrated product development.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for assigned mechanical engineering tasks.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Strong understanding of material science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering projects and managing technical teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
