Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software .
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD , to validate designs and optimize performance.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases of new mechanical designs, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering department.
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of mechanical engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and systems engineering.
- Proven experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and simulation software.
- In-depth knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills, particularly within a London -based engineering context.
