About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and lead critical engineering projects from inception to completion in Plymouth . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring technical integrity.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive progress reports to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a recognized project management qualification (e.g., Prince2, PMP).
• Significant experience (8+ years) in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management capacity.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure in Plymouth .
