Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and lead critical engineering projects from inception to completion in Plymouth . This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering and robust project management skills. You will be responsible for overseeing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery of complex mechanical solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, ensuring technical integrity.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive progress reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a recognized project management qualification (e.g., Prince2, PMP).
- Significant experience (8+ years) in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a project management capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure in Plymouth .
