About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and deliver key mechanical engineering projects within their facilities in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest engineering standards. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders, from initial concept through to final implementation and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the execution of diverse mechanical engineering projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, manufacturing, R&D) and external suppliers/contractors.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project engineering or management role.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with CAD software and project planning tools.
