Senior MEP Quantity Surveyo Commercial Refurbishment Tier 1 MEP Contractor London £500–£550 Per Day – Outside IR35 2+ Year Contract

A privately owned Tier 1 MEP contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager for a major commercial refurbishment in London.

The £25m MEP project comprises the refurbishment of an 11-storey commercial building, including basement infrastructure, roof-level plant, shell-and-core services and two floors of CAT B fit-out.

The successful candidate will join during pre-construction before remaining with the scheme throughout its on-site delivery. You will assist the Commercial Director while taking day-to-day ownership of the project’s commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of the MEP package from pre-construction through final account.

*

Support procurement, tender analysis and subcontractor appointments.

*

Prepare budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash-flow reports.

*

Manage subcontractor applications, payments and final accounts.

*

Identify, value and agree variations and compensation events.

*

Produce accurate monthly CVRs and commercial reports.

*

Monitor contractual risk and protect the contractor’s commercial position.

*

Work closely with the project, design and procurement teams.

*

Maintain effective relationships with the client, principal contractor and supply chain.

What We’re Looking For:

*

Proven experience as a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.

*

Strong MEP subcontracting or building-services experience.

*

Experience managing substantial commercial refurbishment projects.

*

Strong knowledge of procurement, cost reporting, variations and final accounts.

*

Ability to operate independently with limited supervision.

*

Confident communication and negotiation skills.
