Senior Molecular Biologist - Immunology Research

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Molecular Biologist to join their pioneering Immunology Research group in Belfast . This role is central to advancing our understanding of immune system function and developing novel immunotherapies. You will be responsible for designing and executing sophisticated experiments, characterizing molecular mechanisms of immune responses, and contributing to the strategic direction of research programs. Key Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments investigating immune cell function and signaling pathways.
• Develop and optimize molecular assays for analyzing gene and protein expression in immune contexts.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and qPCR.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, drawing conclusions and proposing next steps.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to lab management and experimental planning.
• Maintain detailed experimental records and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.

Requirements

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related life science field.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in molecular and cellular biology.
• Strong expertise in immunology , including cell-based assays and immune response characterization.
• Proficiency in a range of molecular biology techniques, including cloning, mutagenesis, and gene editing (e.g., CRISPR).
• Experience with data analysis software and statistical interpretation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
