Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex IP networks, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and services.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of new network technologies and vendor solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering within the telecoms sector.
- Proven expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols.
- Hands-on experience with network security principles and firewall management .
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
