Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding team. This role is integral to the continued development and maintenance of our robust telecommunications infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing complex network solutions that ensure high availability, performance, and security for our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient network architectures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operation.
• Develop and implement network security policies, protocols, and procedures to safeguard against threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define network requirements for new projects and services.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry best practices, recommending enhancements and innovations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record in designing and managing enterprise-level networks.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing and switching protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network security technologies such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and network automation techniques.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
