Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Senior Network Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team in Norwich . You will be responsible for ensuring network performance, security, and reliability, as well as troubleshooting and resolving network issues. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or security threats.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
• Experience with network security principles and tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
