About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex enterprise-level network solutions , including LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal service delivery.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, in accordance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with system administrators and software developers to ensure seamless integration of network services with applications and platforms.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation , including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior network engineers, providing technical guidance and support to foster team development and knowledge sharing within the Aberdeen team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
• Proven expertise in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
