Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex enterprise telecom networks , including routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network infrastructure for new services and applications.
- Conduct regular security assessments and implement best practices to protect network assets.
- Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance on complex network challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer , with at least 5 years in a senior capacity.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols , BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Hands-on experience with network security principles, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and packet analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to network management in a busy London environment.
