About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Network Engineer to join their remote IT infrastructure team. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructure that supports our global operations. You will be responsible for ensuring network performance, availability, and resilience, while also contributing to strategic network planning and security initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, protocols, and best practices to protect against threats.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and new deployments.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience as a Network Engineer , with a strong focus on enterprise network design and management.
- Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
