Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Network Engineer to join their remote IT infrastructure team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, protocols, and best practices to protect against threats.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and new deployments.
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend solutions for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience as a Network Engineer , with a strong focus on enterprise network design and management.
• Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
