About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join their IT security team in Norwich . This role is critical in protecting the company's digital assets and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions, conducting threat assessments, and responding to security incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and WAFs.
- Monitor network traffic for security breaches and anomalies, and respond promptly to security incidents.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Provide technical expertise on security matters to IT and business units.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, network architecture, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with various security tools and technologies from leading vendors.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.
