About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Online Tutor specializing in Science to join their fully remote educational team. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about making science accessible and engaging through online platforms. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality tutoring sessions, developing supplementary learning materials, and providing expert guidance to students aiming to excel in various scientific disciplines. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online tutoring sessions in key science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to students of varying academic levels.
• Develop and curate high-quality educational resources, including interactive quizzes, presentations, and study guides, to support online learning.
• Assess student understanding, provide detailed feedback, and create personalized learning plans to address individual needs and academic goals.
• Collaborate with other remote tutors and educational staff to share best practices and enhance the quality of online science education.
• Stay abreast of curriculum changes and advancements in scientific fields to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with students and, where appropriate, their parents or guardians regarding academic performance.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related educational degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or tutoring science at the secondary or tertiary level.
• Proven ability to deliver effective instruction in an online or virtual environment, utilising various digital tools and platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
