About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join their remote-first team, based from Oxford . This role is pivotal in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of oil and gas assets, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity targets are consistently met. You will provide expert technical guidance, lead problem-solving initiatives, and contribute to strategic operational planning, all from a fully remote working setup, driving excellence within the Oil & Gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize daily production and operational activities for assigned assets.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
- Oversee the execution of maintenance and integrity programs for equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, reservoir, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas operations engineering .
- Strong understanding of production operations, facilities, and HSE principles.
- Proven experience in leading operational teams and driving performance improvements.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills, especially in a remote context.
