About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join their remote-first team, based from Oxford . This role is pivotal in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of oil and gas assets, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity targets are consistently met. You will provide expert technical guidance, lead problem-solving initiatives, and contribute to strategic operational planning, all from a fully remote working setup, driving excellence within the Oil & Gas industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize daily production and operational activities for assigned assets.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
• Oversee the execution of maintenance and integrity programs for equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, reservoir, and commercial teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas operations engineering .
• Strong understanding of production operations, facilities, and HSE principles.
• Proven experience in leading operational teams and driving performance improvements.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills, especially in a remote context.
