About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Operations Engineer to join their team in Plymouth . This role is integral to optimizing the performance and reliability of their operational assets within the oil and gas sector . You will be involved in troubleshooting operational issues, implementing efficiency improvements, and ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective production. This position offers a blend of technical challenge and leadership, working within a supportive environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in production efficiency and asset reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues, collaborating with maintenance and technical teams.
- Develop and implement projects aimed at enhancing operational performance, reducing costs, and improving safety.
- Ensure all operations comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operational staff and engineers.
- Prepare technical reports, operational procedures, and performance analyses.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations engineering within the oil and gas industry .
- Strong understanding of production operations , asset integrity, and maintenance strategies.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex operational problems and implementing solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
