About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join their operational support team in Oxford . This role is essential for ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable day-to-day operation of their Oil & Gas assets. You will provide technical expertise, troubleshoot operational challenges, and implement improvements to optimize production and asset performance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of production processes and a proven ability to solve complex problems in a demanding operational environment, contributing to the company's success through exceptional engineering support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to production operations, addressing immediate operational issues and challenges.
- Monitor production performance, identify deviations, and implement strategies for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and manage operational procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance, drilling, and reservoir teams to ensure seamless field operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and asset integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and optimizing production operations.
- Strong understanding of production systems, equipment, and associated technologies.
- Knowledge of process safety, risk management, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
