About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Operations Manager to lead their operational teams supporting energy production and distribution in the Norwich region. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective day-to-day running of operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence. The hybrid working model allows for a blend of on-site leadership and strategic remote planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations, ensuring targets for safety, efficiency, and productivity are met.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and process improvements to enhance performance.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and procurement for operational activities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operational staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, and commercial teams, to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management , preferably within the energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex operational environments.
• Strong understanding of operational metrics, performance analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment and manage distributed teams effectively.
