Senior Paralegal - Litigation Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Paralegal to provide crucial litigation support to their legal team in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is integral to the smooth progression of legal cases, involving extensive case management, document preparation, and direct support to fee earners. You will be responsible for managing complex caseloads, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining meticulous records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of litigation procedures and thrive in a busy, team-oriented office environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist solicitors and barristers in preparing for court hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Manage electronic and physical document discovery, including organization and review.
• Draft legal documents such as statements of case, applications, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for fee earners.
• Maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage court timetables.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as directed.

Requirements

• A recognized paralegal qualification (e.g., CILEX Level 3 or 4, or an LLB).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting litigation cases.
• Proficiency in civil litigation procedures and rules.
• Excellent document management, organizational, and IT skills (including legal software).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a legal team.
