About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Penetration Tester to join their offensive security team in Wolverhampton . In this role, you will proactively identify vulnerabilities in our client's systems, applications, and networks through rigorous testing and ethical hacking techniques. You will play a critical role in strengthening our security posture by providing actionable insights and recommendations for remediation. This hybrid role allows for focused remote work on testing assignments combined with essential on-site collaboration for strategy and team development, ensuring a comprehensive approach to security assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document complex penetration tests across networks, applications, and cloud environments.
• Identify, analyze, and exploit security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Develop detailed, clear, and actionable reports of findings and recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to track remediation efforts and validate fixes.
• Stay current with the latest attack vectors, exploitation techniques, and security trends.
• Mentor junior penetration testers and contribute to the team's knowledge base.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Proficiency with a wide range of penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, web application security, and cloud security.
• Ability to write scripts or develop custom tools for testing purposes.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical risks clearly.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH Master, or GPEN are highly desirable.
