About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Performance Analyst to join their remote-based team, focusing on enhancing athletic performance within the Leisure & Sports sector. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge data analytics tools and methodologies to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making for athletes and teams. You will play a critical part in optimising training, identifying talent, and improving competitive outcomes, working closely with coaches and performance staff across various disciplines, all from a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyse large datasets related to athlete performance, training loads, and competition statistics.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated performance models and dashboards to track key metrics and identify trends.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to coaches and performance staff to optimise training programs, injury prevention strategies, and tactical approaches.
• Utilise advanced statistical techniques and data visualisation tools to communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with technology providers and researchers to evaluate and implement new performance analysis tools and systems.
• Contribute to the development of junior analysts through mentorship and knowledge sharing within the remote team structure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Performance Analyst , ideally within professional sports or a high-performance environment.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) and database management.
• Strong experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical modelling.
• Excellent understanding of sports science principles and their application to performance optimisation.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Sports Science, or a related discipline.
