Senior Petroleum Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their dynamic team in London . This role is crucial for optimizing oil and gas production, reservoir management, and the development of new energy projects. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance data to predict future production and identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Design and implement well completion strategies, including the selection of appropriate equipment and materials.
• Conduct economic evaluations and feasibility studies for new drilling prospects and development projects.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to ensure integrated project execution.
• Develop and maintain production forecasts, operational plans, and capital expenditure budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex reservoir engineering challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering, production engineering, or a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, ECLIPSE) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the UK energy sector .
