About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Sunderland . This role is central to ensuring the efficient, compliant, and continuous operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for process optimization, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and leading improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and yield. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality, ensuring GMP compliance .
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes, minimizing downtime.
- Lead process improvement projects, applying lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC).
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and equipment manuals.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering within the pharmaceutical industry .
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and validation principles.
- Proven experience with process optimization techniques, automation, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong project management and communication abilities, with experience leading technical teams.
