Our client, a prominent name in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to enhance their operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is central to optimizing and scaling up manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will apply your engineering expertise to troubleshoot production challenges, implement process improvements, and contribute to the successful launch of new therapies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in chemical or process engineering within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Implement and validate new process technologies and equipment.
- Conduct process hazard analyses and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop and execute process validation protocols and reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, and R&D teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and validation principles.
- Experience with process simulation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Proficiency in project management and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
