Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a distinguished pharmaceutical manufacturer, is looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Plymouth . In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet stringent quality specifications and regulatory standards. Your expertise will be critical in guaranteeing the safety, efficacy, and quality of our client's life-saving medications. Key Responsibilities

• Perform various analytical tests using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and titration.
• Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products according to approved specifications and test methods.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Document all laboratory activities meticulously in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and GMP.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and assist in corrective action investigations.
• Train and mentor junior analysts on laboratory procedures and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a QC Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with HPLC and other relevant analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GLP, and pharmacopoeial standards (e.g., USP, EP).
• Excellent attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
